Cantoral remembrance concert

In memory of the victims of the Holocaust, on 10 November 2013 a cantoral remembrance concert will be held. The act of remembering shall be both an expression of grief and an opportunity to encourage the modern Jewish community and society as a whole to connect with old traditions in order to be able to live them in the present. For this reason the subject of this year’s concert is “Meafelah Leorah” – “From darkness into light”

Im Gedenken an die Opfer der Shoah wird am 10. November 2013 das Kantoren-Gedenkkonzert stattfinden. Das Gedenken soll sowohl der Trauer Ausdruck verleihen als auch die heutige Wiener Jüdische Gemeinde und die Gesellschaft als Ganzes dazu ermuntern, an die alten Traditionen anzuknüpfen, um diese in der Gegenwart leben zu können. So auch das Thema des heurigen Konzerts, „Meafelah Leorah“ – „Von Dunkelheit zu Licht“.
