Description
Following a seven year research, discursive and preparation process, on 28 October 2012 the Cultural Association Kuland and the Association AEGIDE opened a memorial at the Station in Greifenburg for the victims of National Socialism in Upper Drautal and presented an accompanying publication “From memory into remembrance”. At the beginning of 2013 the Association AEGIDE is taking on the educational work and caring for the memorial. In order to ensured continued attention and sustainable education work the Association AEGIDE is planning several measures; information boards, information folders for municipal and tourist offices, further education for teachers and training for guides, a website for the memorial and the appraisal of the post-war justice.

Nach einem siebenjährigen Recherche-, Diskussions- und Vorbereitungsprozess haben der Kulturverein Kuland und der Verein AEGIDE am 28. Oktober 2012 am Bahnhof in Greifenburg eine Erinnerungsstätte für die Opfer des Nationalsozialismus im Oberen Drautal eröffnet sowie das Begleitbuch „Aus dem Gedächtnis in die Erinnerung“ präsentiert. Der Verein AEGIDE übernimmt mit Jahresbeginn 2013 die Vermittlungsarbeit und die Betreuung der Gedenkstätte. Zur Gewährleistung der Aufmerksamkeit und für eine nachhaltige Vermittlungsarbeit plant der Verein AEGIDE einige Maßnahmen: Informationstafeln, Informationsfolder zur Auflage bei Gemeinde- und Fremdenverkehrsämtern, Fortbildung von LehrerInnen und Ausbildung von Guides, Homepage für die Gedenkstätte sowie Aufarbeitung der Nachkriegsjustiz.
