In April 2008, in cooperation with the key European organizations in the field of music in the Holocaust (Jewish Music Institute London, exil.arte Vienna, Musica reanimata Berlin, Voix Etoufées Paris), a conference was held in London, which dealt for the first time with the problematics of exile at an international level. At this conference, it was possible to discuss for the first time the many different stations of exile in Great Britain, in Asia, in North and South America etc. and to document and present them as part of an academic discourse. In addition, the connections between the Fascist regimes, e.g. Franco’s Spain, were included in the discussion. This book will be published as the third in the exil.arte series with the Böhlau Publishers.

Im April 2008 fand in Zusammenarbeit der wichtigsten europäischen Organisationen auf dem Gebiet der Musik im Holocaust (Jewish Music Institute London, exil.arte Wien, Musica reanimata Berlin, Voix Etoufées Paris) eine Konferenz in London statt, welche sich erstmals auf internationalem Niveau mit der Problematik des Exils auseinandersetzte. Bei dieser Konferenz gelang es erstmals, die vielen unterschiedlichen Stationen des Exils in Großbritannien, in Asien, in Nord- und Südamerika etc. anzusprechen und im wissenschaftlichen Diskurs zu dokumentieren und zu präsentieren. Weiters wurden auch die Bezüge zwischen den faschistischen Regimen, z.B. Francos Spanien, zur Sprache gebracht und in die Diskussion miteinbezogen. Dieses Buch wird als dritte Publikation der exil.arte-Schriftenreihe beim Verlag Böhlau erscheinen.
