During the journeys of remembrance that have been undertaken annually since 2010, which are made possible with the support of the National Fund of the Republic of Austria for Victims of National Socialism, the Future Fund of the Republic of Austria and the Federal Ministry for European and foreign affairs, the emotional importance of putting up name plates in the Blagowschtschina (the woods in Maly Trostinec where mass executions took place) for the families of those murdered there became clear time and time again. Regardless of whether the realization of a memorial for the Austrian victims of the Shoah in Minsk/Maly Trostinec is successful, the association IM-MER believes it important to create a worthy memorial for the dead with a “Book of the Dead”. The “Book of the Dead” will also be made accessible electronically on www.IM-MER.at.

Bei den seit 2010 jährlich stattfindenden Gedenkreisen, die unter anderem durch die Unterstützung des Nationalfonds der Republik Österreich für Opfer des Nationalsozialismus, des Zukunftsfonds der Republik Österreich und des Bundesministeriums für europäische und auswärtige Angelegenheiten ermöglicht werden, wird immer wieder festgestellt, welche große emotionale Bedeutung das Anbringen der Namensschilder in der Blagowschtschina (dem Wäldchen in Maly Trostinec, in dem die Massenexekutionen stattfanden) für die Angehörigen der dort Ermordeten hat. Unabhängig davon, ob es gelingt, das Memorial für die österreichischen Opfer der Shoa von Minsk/Maly Trostinec in Maly Trostinec zu realisieren, ist es dem Verein IM-MER wichtig, den Toten mit einem Totenbuch ein würdiges Angedenken zu schaffen. Das „Totenbuch“ soll auch elektronisch auf www.IM-MER.at zugänglich gemacht werden.
