Description
Since autumn 2011 a private initiative comprised of dedicated citizens of Fontanella and two external experts set itself the goal of establishing a sign of remembrance for the slave laborers and prisoners of war in the Municipality of Fontanella from 1942 to 1945. The local heritage society in Großwalsertal is acting as an umbrella organization and official contractor for the project, which will last for two years. The project concept contains three modules: the creation of a sign of remembrance in Fontanella and on the Faschina pass. Informative accompanying events and the unveiling of the memorial. This is planned for 20 October 2013.

Seit Herbst 2011 hat sich eine private Initiativgruppe aus engagierten BürgerInnen Fontanellas und zwei externen Experten zum Ziel gesetzt, ein Erinnerungszeichen für die in der Aufbaugemeinde Fontanella von 1942 bis 1945 zwangsverpflichteten ArbeiterInnen und Kriegsgefangenen zu errichten. Der Heimatpflegeverein Großwalsertal fungiert als Dach und offizieller Auftraggeber des Projekts, das auf zwei Jahre angelegt ist. Das Projektkonzept beinhaltet drei Module: die Errichtung eines Erinnerungszeichens in Fontanella und auf dem Faschinapass. Informierende Begleitveranstaltungen und die Enthüllung des Erinnerungszeichens. Diese soll am 20. Oktober 2013 stattfinden.
