The project’s aim is to produce the most detailed biographic collection of women, who were expelled from Austria as children or young adults (at the beginning of their careers) and who developed scientific careers in the countries where they ended up. Their names and achievements are to be made known so that they can be included in the variety of approaches and developments in the history of their disciplines.

Ziel des Projektes ist eine möglichst umfassende biografische Sammlung von Frauen, die als Kinder oder junge Erwachsene (noch am Beginn der beruflichen Laufbahn stehend) aus Österreich vertrieben wurden und in den jeweiligen Aufnahmeländern wissenschaftliche Laufbahnen entwickeln konnten. Ihre Namen sollen bekannt gemacht und ihre Leistungen benannt werden, um dann in die Vielfalt wissenschaftlicher Ansätze und disziplingeschichtlicher Entwicklungen einbezogen zu werden.
