The main theme of the conference serves to answer the question what and how future generations in Austria and the world can learn from the Holocaust. The comprehensive network which was already developed in 2010-2013 brings together teachers, leaders of civic society, museum directors, politicians, public figures and others who are active in the field of Holocaust education and genocide prevention. With the cooperation of IHRA and colleagues from Austria, focus will be placed on colleagues from non-IHRA countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Als Leitthema der Konferenz dient die Frage, was und wie zukünftige Generationen in Österreich und der Welt aus dem Holocaust lernen können. Das umfangreiche Netzwerk, welches in den Jahren 2010–2013 bereits entwickelt wurde, bringt dabei Lehrbeauftragte, Führungspersonen der Zivilgesellschaft, MuseumsdirektorInnen, PolitikerInnen, Personen des öffentlichen Lebens und andere zusammen, die im Bereich Holocaust-Aufklärung und Genozid-Prävention tätig sind. In Zusammenarbeit mit IHRA und KollegInnen aus Österreich wird das Augenmerk auf KollegInnen aus Nicht-IHRA-Ländern in Europa, Asien, Afrika und Lateinamerika gerichtet.
