Description
To mark the 100th birthday of the Vienna-born, Austro-Jewish author Anna Maria Jokl, the Institute for Science and the Arts and the Austrian Society for Research into Children and Young People’s Literature, together with partners from abroad, organized an international symposium on her work. The speakers at the symposium analyzed Jokl’s texts as important historical and cultural documents. Her life and multifaceted literary works are examined in the book.

Aus Anlass des 100. Geburtstags der in Wien geborenen österreichisch-jüdischen Schriftstellerin Anna Maria Jokl organisierte das Institut für Wissenschaft und Kunst mit der österreichischen Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendliteraturforschung und mit ausländischen Kooperationspartnern eine internationale Tagung zu ihrem Werk. Die ReferentInnen der Tagung analysierten die Texte Jokls als wichtige Dokumente zur Zeit- und Kulturgeschichte. Ihr Leben und ihre breitgefächerten literarischen Werke werden in dem Buch beleuchtet.
