70 years after the end of the war, this documentary remembers the horrific mass murder of 44 youngsters. On 5 April 1945, on the cusp of freedom, almost at the end of World War II, an execution was held in Stein prison to which 44 resistance fighters who had been sentenced to death fell victim.

April 1945, an der Schwelle zur Freiheit, fast am Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs, fand im Zuchthaus Stein diese Hinrichtung statt, der 44 zum Tode verurteilte Widerstandskämpfer zum Opfer fielen.
