Description
An exhibition is planned with large-scale photo tapestry-collages as well as a reading in the Documentation Centre of Austrian Resistance, on the occasion of the presentation of the catalogue of the same name, which was published in July 2014. Documentation of the extermination and biographies form the focus of the exhibition and the catalogue. The collection is the outcome of 14 years of research at memorials and in archives. On the basis of the Nazi racial ideology, Roma and Sinti were registered and then, ultimately, deported and murdered. The exhibition is conceived as a traveling exhibition and after being shown in Vienna, it will also be shown in the provinces and in Berlin.

Geplant sind eine Ausstellung mit großformatigen Fototapeten-Collagen und eine Lesung im DÖW anlässlich der Präsentation des im Juli 2014 erschienenen, gleichnamigen Katalogs. Belege der Vernichtung und Biografien stehen im Zentrum der Ausstellung und des Katalogs. Die Sammlung ist das Ergebnis einer vierzehnjährigen Recherche in Gedenkstätten und Archiven. Auf der Grundlage der nationalsozialistischen Rassenideologie wurden Roma und Sinti erfasst und schließlich in die Vernichtungslager deportiert und ermordet. Die Ausstellung wird als Wanderausstellung konzipiert und soll nach Wien auch in den Bundesländern und in Berlin gezeigt werden.
