Description
Plaques are planned for Jews expelled in the year 1421 and the subsequently extinguished Jewish Community Perchtoldsdorf and for Perchtoldsdorf’s Jews who perished under the Nazi rule of terror. These plaques will be mounted on an existing wall near the decorative pond with explanatory text. An artwork will be installed on the adjacent lawn. The artist Dvora Barzilai has proposed an artistic position: a bronze ball on a marble plinth with the inscription SHALOM in Hebrew letters, around 1.80 m high. Inscription on the plinth: The whole world is a narrow bridge and it all depends on us being without fear.

Geplant sind Tafeln für im Jahr 1421 vertriebene und somit ausgelöschte jüdische Gemeinde Perchtoldsdorf und für die Perchtoldsdorfer Jüdinnen und Juden, die im NS-Terror umgekommen sind. An einer bereits vorhandenen Mauer in der Nähe des Zierteiches sollen diese Tafeln montiert werden mit Hinweisen. Auf einer Wiese neben der Mauer soll ein Kunstwerk errichtet werden. Die Künstlerin Dvora Barzilai hat eine künstlerische Position vorgeschlagen: eine Bronzekugel auf einem Marmorsockel mit der Inschrift SHALOM in hebräischen Buchstaben, Höhe etwa 1,80 m. Inschrift am Sockel: Die ganze Welt ist eine schmale Brücke, und es kommt darauf an, dass wir uns nicht fürchten.
