The exhibition “For the Child” is dedicated to all those who helped predominantly Jews to survive the Nazi era in Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland in 1938/39. 10,000 children were able to be saved. Under the patronage of the Central British Fund, they were brought from their countries of birth to safety. This was an outstanding rescue operation, called “Kindertransport”. The exhibition consists of a collection of art prints, pictures of objects that the children took with them on their journey to a foreign world. These items were often the last contact linking the children to the parents, who they never saw again in most cases.

Die Ausstellung 'Für das Kind' ist all denen gewidmet, die 1938/39 in Deutschland, Österreich, der Tschechoslowakei und in Polen hauptsächlich Juden halfen, die Nazizeit zu überleben. Es konnten 10 000 Kinder gerettet werden, die unter der Schirmherrschaft des Central British Fund, aus ihren Geburtsländern in Sicherheit gebracht wurden. Dies war eine hervorragende Rettungsaktion, genannt 'Kindertransport'. Die Ausstellung besteht aus einer Sammlung von Kunstdrucken, Bilder von den Objekten, die die Kinder mit sich auf ihre Reise in eine unbekannte fremde Welt nahmen. Diese Gegenstände waren oft der letzte Kontakt, der die Kinder mit ihren Eltern verband, die sie in den meisten Fällen nie wieder sahen.
