Description
This project aims to enable both a book presentation at the Austrian Cultural Forum in London on 11 November 2015 and an exhibition and film presentation at the London School of Economics, planned for 16 November – 11 December 2015. A memorial plaque on the former building of the “Austrian Centre” in London with the support of the “Anglo-Austrian Society” and the “Austrian Cultural Forum” is also planned. At the request of the late initiator of the Young Austria Documentation, Erich Herzl, who also made the Riga memorial possible, the association would like to publish the first edition of the Young Austria book in English, with several stories and translated exhibition texts, in the Theodor Kramer Society edition. In partnership with the “Anglo-Austrian Society”, the “Research Centre of German and Austrian Exile Studies”, friends from Great Britain and the “Austrian Cultural Forum”, the association would also like to install a memorial plaque on the former building of the Austrian Centre.

Mit diesem Projekt soll sowohl eine Buchpräsentation in London im „Austrian Cultural Forum“ am 11.11.2015 als auch eine Ausstellung und Filmpräsentation in der London School of Economics ermöglicht werden, die vom 16.11.–11.12.2015 anberaumt ist. Eine Gedenktafelerrichtung am ehemaligen Gebäude des „Austrian Centre“ in Paddington mit der Hilfe der „Anglo-Austrian Society“ und dem „Austrian Cultural Forum“ ist angedacht. Auf Wunsch des verstorbenen Initiators der Young-Austria-Dokumentation, Erich Herzl, der auch die Riga-Gedenkstätte ermöglichte, möchte der Verein die erste Auflage des Young-Austria-Buches in Englisch mit einigen Geschichten und übersetzten Ausstellungstafeln in der Theodor-Kramer-Gesellschaft veröffentlichen. Gemeinsam mit der „Anglo-Austrian-Society“, dem „Research Centre of German and Austrian Exile Studies“, Freunden aus Großbritannien und dem „Austrian Cultural Forum“ möchte der Verein auch die Errichtung einer Gedenktafel am ehemaligen Gebäude des Austrian Centre umsetzen.
