Description
The aim of the project is the continued development of the Place of Education and Remembrance Castle Hartheim as a permanent institution with regard to both the development of its educational work and teaching work on the history of the victims of Nazi euthanasia and inmate murders. In addition, the relatives of the victims, (project “development”) shall be cared for and research shall be carried out into the history of Nazi euthanasia in Austria with a special focus on the biographies of victims and perpetrators at Castle Hartheim. The further development of the memorial in terms of biographical presentation is also being considered.

Ziel des Projekts ist die Weiterentwicklung des LGSH als Dauereinrichtung im Hinblick auf die Entwicklung der Bildungsarbeit sowie die pädagogische Arbeit zur Geschichte der Opfer der NS-Euthanasie und Häftlingsmorde. Des Weiteren soll die Betreuung von Opferangehörigen (Projekt „Aufbau“) erfolgen und die Erforschung der Geschichte der NS-Euthanasie in Österreich mit besonderem Schwerpunkt bezüglich der Biografien von Opfern und TäterInnen in Schloss Hartheim stattfinden. Auch die Weiterentwicklung der Gedenkstätte hinsichtlich biografischer Präsentation (Projekt „Recherche“) ist angedacht.
