The event provides both Jewish and non-Jewish residents of Vienna with the opportunity to experience ancient sounds of Judaism, the timeless melodies of the prayers and old Jewish songs from the Stetl or to get to know them for the first time. Singers who are already confirmed for the event are the Chief Cantor Shmuel Barzilai and Chief Rabbi Paul Chaim Eisenberg, who will explain the background to the songs and prayers with amusing anecdotes.

Die Veranstaltung gibt sowohl jüdischen als auch nichtjüdischen WienerInnen die Möglichkeit alte Klänge aus dem Judentum, zeitlose Melodien der Gebete sowie alte jiddische Lieder aus dem Stetl authentisch zu erleben oder erst kennen zu lernen. Zu den fixen Interpreten des Konzerts gehören der Oberkantor Shmuel Barzilai sowie der Oberrabbiner Paul Chaim Eisenberg, der mit Erklärungen und humorvollen Anekdoten den Hintergrund der Lieder und der Gebete erklärt.
