To mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War, CLIO and the Association “prenninger discussions“ are organizing a symposium at the Graz Museum in Austria from 5 to 8 October on the Spanish Civil War – the role played by Austrians in the Spanish Civil War and their persecution under the Nazi regime. In the early-October symposium the constants of the Austrian contribution to the Spanish Civil War in terms of historical and remembrance policies shall be analyzed and the results of the conference made available to a wider interested public.

Anlässlich des 80. Jahrestags des Beginns des Spanischen Bürgerkriegs organisieren CLIO und der Verein „prenninger gespräche" vom 5. bis 8. Oktober im GrazMuseum ein Symposium in Österreich zum Spanischen Bürgerkrieg — zur Rolle der Österreicherinnen und Österreicher im Spanischen Bürgerkrieg und ihre Verfolgung unter dem NS-Regime. Mit dem Symposium Anfang Oktober soll aus einer internationalen Perspektive die historischen und gedächtnispolitischen Konstanten des Beitrags der ÖsterreicherInnen zum Spanischen Bürgerkrieg analysiert und die Ergebnisse dieser Tagung einem breiten interessierten Publikum zugänglich gemacht werden.
