Training civil courage

Key aims are to raise awareness for courageous actions, to extend the personal rage of behaviour on various levels and to educate people about civil courage and social responsibility in the past and the present. The factors leading to acts of civil courage are always the same. The circumstances under which they occur, however, change over the course of time. The training sessions for young people are held in schools, educational workshops, youth centers and many other locations throughout Austria. The contents are adapted to meet the needs of the different groups and the session lasts for four hours.

Zentrale Ziele sind die Sensibilität für zivilcouragiertes Handeln zu erhöhen, das eigene Verhaltensrepertoire auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen zu erweitern sowie Zivilcourage und gesellschaftliche Verantwortung im Gestern zum Heute zu vermitteln. Die Faktoren, die zu zivilcouragierten Handeln führen, bleiben immer gleich. Die Rahmenbedingungen innerhalb derer sie stattfinden, verändern sich im Laufe der Zeit. Die Trainings werden in Schulen, Lehrwerkstätten, Jugendzentren und vielen mehr mit Jugendlichen in ganz Österreich durchgeführt. Die Inhalte werden auf die jeweiligen Gruppen maßgeschneidert und dauern insgesamt vier Stunden.
