The association exil.arte considers itself to be a contact point for the coordination of all institutions, organizations and persons dealing with the subject of exile. It is based in Austria and its activities extend to coordinating and organizing artistic and scientific projects and events relating to exiled, ostracized and murdered people in the field of art, particularly music, musical theater and film. Within the scope of a series of concerts, the works and personalities which were exiled by the National Socialists were brought to people’s attention.

Der Verein exil.arte versteht sich als Clearingstelle (Contact Point) für die Koordination aller mit der Thematik des Exils befassten Institutionen, Organisationen und Personen. Er hat seinen Sitz in Österreich und erstreckt seine Tätigkeit auf die Koordination und Organisation von künstlerischen und wissenschaftlichen Projekten und Veranstaltungen bezüglich der im gesamten Bereich der Kunst, insbesondere der Musik, des Musiktheaters und des Films von den Nationalsozialisten Vertriebenen, Verfemten und Ermordeten. Im Rahmen einer Konzertreihe soll in vielfältiger Weise auf die Werke und die Persönlichkeiten, welche von den Nationalsozialisten vertrieben worden sind, hingewiesen werden.
