Entwicklung und Produktion von Vermittlungs- und Unterrichtsmaterialien für das Haus der Geschichte Österreich Geschichts- und Demokratievermittlung im Museum, in der Schule und zu Hause

 

The present funding request is for the conception, development, design and production of educational and teaching materials for working with children and young people at the House of Austrian History and in schools. Educational and teaching material is planned for various age ranges to teach history to children and adolescents. The aim is to address and update the main themes of the exhibitions in an age-appropriate manner, with focus on Austria’s non-democratic past, particularly the Nazi era. The documents and worksheets that are currently in planning, interactive and aesthetically appealing, illustrated and edited are meant to encourage critical reflection on the links between history, the present and the future and the relationship between society and the individual. In doing so, they are aimed at supporting calls for civil courage and individual responsibility. Materials for school lessons at different age groups and class types are also planned as a central part of what is offered by the education department of the House of Austrian History.

Vorliegendes Ansuchen ist der Konzeption, Erarbeitung, Gestaltung und Produktion von Vermittlungs- und Unterrichtsmaterialien für die Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen im Haus der Geschichte Österreich sowie an österreichischen Schulen gewidmet. Für den Bereich der Geschichtsvermittlung mit Kindern und Jugendlichen sind Vermittlungs- und Unterrichtsmaterialien für verschiedene Altersstufen geplant. Ziel ist eine altersgerechte Aufbereitung und Aktualisierung wesentlicher Ausstellungsthemen, darunter schwerpunktmäßig die nicht-demokratischen Vergangenheiten Österreichs, insbesondere die Zeit des Nationalsozialismus. Die in Planung befindlichen, interaktiv und ansprechend konzipierten, illustrierten und aufbereiteten Unterlagen sollen zu kritischen Reflexionen des Zusammenhangs von Geschichte, Gegenwart und Zukunft sowie des Verhältnisses von Individuum und Gesellschaft anregen und dabei die Teilnahme unterstützen, Zivilcourage und Eigenverantwortung ins Bewusstsein zu rufen und zu fördern. Materialien für den Schulunterricht in unterschiedlichen Schulstufen beziehungsweise -typen sind ebenfalls als zentrales Angebot der Vermittlungsabteilung des Hauses der Geschichte Österreich vorgesehen.
