Eine Ausgabe der Stimme – Zeitschrift der Initiative Minderheiten zum Thema „80 Jahre Anschluss – Gedenken“

 

The journal “Stimme” has existed since 1991. Its philosophy is based on the program policy of the Minorities Initiative, which advocates a society that treats minorities fairly, in which individual ways of living are attributed equal value and people have equal rights regardless of ethnicity, social or religious beliefs, sexual orientation or disability. The subject of the next issue will be “80th anniversary of the Anschluss and remembrance”. The year 2018 is a year of anniversaries: the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Austria and the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote, 50 years since the students’ movements and 40 years since the resistance against the Zwentendorf nuclear power plant. And not least, it marks 80 years since the “Anschluss”, March and the November pogroms and the construction of Mauthausen concentration camp. The next issue will deal with the chances and dangers of the Year of Remembrance, particularly taking into account Austria’s Nazi past.

Die Zeitschrift „Stimme“ erscheint seit 1991. Die Blattlinie ergibt sich aus der Programmatik der Initiative Minderheiten, die für eine minderheitengerechte Gesellschaft eintritt, in der individuelle Lebensentwürfe unabhängig von Merkmalen wie ethnischer, sozialer oder religiöser Zugehörigkeit, sexueller Orientierung und Behinderung als gleichberechtigt und gleichwertig anerkannt sind. Das Thema des nächsten Heftes befasst sich mit „80 Jahre Anschluss und dem Gedenken“. Das Achter-Jahr 2018 ist ein Jahr der Jubiläen: 100 Jahre Ausrufung der Republik und 100 Jahre Frauenwahlrecht, 50 Jahre StudentInnenbewegung und 40 Jahre Widerstand gegen das AKW Zwentendorf. Und nicht zuletzt 80 Jahre sogenannter Anschluss, März und Novemberpogrome sowie Errichtung des Konzentrationslagers Mauthausen. In der nächsten Ausgabe befasst man sich mit Chancen und Gefahren der Gedenkjahre mit besonderer Berücksichtigung von Österreichs nationalsozialistischer Vergangenheit.
