The tour “Us and Them” places a special focus on the Nazi era. It shows how exclusion and discrimination happened and were accepted by the majority of society. Memorials and locations on the route form points of contact that illustrate the systematic terror of Nazism. Biographies are portrayed of persecutees, those expelled and murdered by the Nazis or who put up resistance. All tours make ongoing reference to the present and use interactive methods. Videos of contemporary witnesses and audio recordings form part of the four thematic tours. The contemporary history of Austria, starting with the period before 1914 and the First World War (1914-1918), the subsequent end of the monarchy, the period of the First Republic and Austrofascism (1918-1938), the fall of the First Republic, the “Anschluss” to Nazi Germany, the period of Nazism and the Second World War (1938-1945) up to the liberation by the Allied powers and the Second Republic, which still exists today, are also reflected in the monuments and memorials of Vienna's Inner City.

Beim Rundgang "Wir und die anderen" wird ein besonderer Fokus auf die Zeit des Nationalsozialismus gelegt. Es wird aufgezeigt, wie Ausgrenzung und Diskriminierung passieren und von der Mehrheit der Gesellschaft akzeptiert werden. Mahnmale und Orte auf der Route bilden inhaltliche Anknüpfungspunkte, die das Terrorsystem des Nationalsozialismus verdeutlichen. Biographien von Menschen werden erzählt, die zur NS-Zeit von den Nationalsozialisten verfolgt, vertrieben und ermordet wurden bzw. Widerstand leisteten. Bei allen Rundgängen wird ein permanenter Gegenwartsbezug hergestellt und interaktive Methoden der Vermittlung eingesetzt. ZeitzeugInnen-Videos und Audiobeiträge sind Bestandteil der vier thematischen Rundgänge. Die Zeitgeschichte Österreichs angefangen von der Zeit vor 1914 und dem Ersten Weltkrieg (1914-1918), dem damit einhergehenden Ende der Monarchie, über die Zeit der Ersten Republik und des Austrofaschismus (1918- 1938), dem Fall der ersten Republik, dem Anschluss an Nazi-Deutschland, die Zeit des Nationalsozialismus und dem Zweiten Weltkrieg (1938 -1945) bis hin zur Befreiung durch die Alliierten Mächte und der bis heute bestehenden Zweiten Republik spiegelt sich auch durch in den Denkmälern und Gedenkstätten der Wiener Innenstadt wider.
