Description
The Centre for Research and Documentation of Jewish Life in Eastern and Central Europe also supports the senior citizens in their everyday lives. Regular telephone calls as well as personal visits and individual meetings take place. Especially in times of energy crisis and constant price increases, it is all the more important for the elderly to have a contact person and the opportunity to always be looking forward to seeing all their friends and acquaintances at "Café Centropa" again soon. For 2023, Centropa plans to continue to provide social assistance, send out books, meet for coffee and cake, meet with students, organise cultural events and celebrate traditional Jewish festivals.

Das Zentrum zur Erforschung und Dokumentation jüdischen Lebens in Ost- und Mitteuropa unterstützt die Senior*innen auch im Alltag. Es finden regelmäßige Telefonate als auch persönliche Besuche und einzelne Treffen statt. Gerade in der Zeit der Energiekrise und ständiger Preiserhöhungen ist es für die betagten Menschen umso wichtiger, eine Ansprechpartnerin zu haben und die ständige Freude auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen mit allen Teilnehmer*innen des "Café Centropa". Für 2023 plant Centropa weiterhin soziale Hilfestellungen, Büchersendungen, Treffen zu Kaffee und Kuchen, Begegnungen mit Schüler*innen, kulturelle Veranstaltungen sowie das Feiern der traditionellen jüdischen Feste.
