Description
Since July 2006, the Centropa association, under the direction of Tanja Eckstein, has organised a monthly meeting for Holocaust survivors – the “Cafe Centropa”. Over the years, the regular get-togethers of the affected people with Centropa staff, students and artists have taken on a decidedly family-like atmosphere. The goal of sparing people the loneliness of old age is mindfully fulfilled. Four musical encounters are planned for 2023/2024 at the Jewish Community’s community centre. Artists such as Paul Gulda, Michael Masula and Maddalena Hirschal, Belush Korenyi and band and Michael Maertens will be invited in 2023.

Seit Juli 2006 veranstaltet der Verein Centropa unter der Leitung von Tanja Eckstein einmal im Monat ein Treffen für Holocaust-Überlebende - das "Cafe Centropa". Die regelmäßigen Treffen der betroffenen Menschen mit Centropa-Mitarbeiter*innen, Schüler*innen und Künstler*innen haben im Laufe der Jahre einen ausgesprochen familiären Charakter angenommen. Das Ziel, die Menschen aus der Einsamkeit des Alters rauszuholen, wird gewissenhaft erfüllt. Für 2023/2024 sind vier musikalische Begegnungen im Gemeindezentrum der IKG geplant. Künstler*innen wie Paul Gulda, Michael Masula und Maddalena Hirschal, Belush Korenyi und Band sowie Michael Maertens werden 2023 eingeladen.
